Will the books be available after the campaign ends?
Lemon Balm is available pretty much wherever books are sold. Late pledges will be available through BackerKit until the release day, essentially as a pre-order. However, aside from this campaign, Aloe will not be available until the end of October, 2026. There will be an audiobook in production soon, but that will not be available right away. Will I be able to cancel my pledge after the BackerKit ends?
Unfortunately, no. I will be ordering materials based on the pledged amount, so I will not be able to offer refunds after the end of the campaign.

How will I get my digital files, like my E-Book or Audiobook?
For Aloe - You will get an email with a link to the book via Bookfunnel when they deliver in early October. It will then be added to your Bookfunnel library permanently. From Bookfunnel, you can add the book directly to your preferred e-reader library so that it functions exactly like any other book you’ve purchased.
For all other e-books - You will get an email with a link to the book via Bookfunnel as soon as your pledge is honored. It will then be added to your Bookfunnel library permanently. For the audiobook - BookFunnel now delivers audio as well as e-book files, so same thing! You will receive an e-mail with a download link, which will allow you to add the audio to your Bookfunnel library and download it to listen to in your preferred way.

How do I put my address in to get my rewards? What if I move between backing and the items being sent?
A BackerKit survey will be sent after the end of the campaign roughly two weeks after your payment clears (or immediately after you make your final Pay Over Time payment). The survey will collect your mailing address and your email address. You should insert your shipping address here. This survey will be editable until we lock them at a date closer to the actual shipping date.
If your address changes, you can update your shipping address. I will send a reminder before locking addresses.

Do I have to pay shipping, customs, and VAT taxes?
Yes, it will be up to each individual backer to pay their VAT and/or customs fees.

When will rewards be shipped?
The BackerKit campaign will be finished on July 31st, 2026. The book releases to the general public on October 23rd. My hope is that the e-book will be delivered by the first week of October at the latest. Paperbacks and hardcovers are dependent on my printers’ delivery times and needs, but I will keep you updated through the update feature on BackerKit throughout the process. The latest they will deliver will be in Q2 of 2027.

What if something is damaged or stolen?
If a package is lost or damaged, please email me at [email protected] with pictures of the damaged item. If a package shows as delivered, but is lost or stolen, unfortunately I’m not able to replace the stolen package.

Do I need to read Lemon Balm in order to understand Aloe?
It’s definitely recommended! Not all of the books in the Tales From The Night Garden series will be interconnected, but Lemon Balm will definitely make Aloe easier to understand.
You do not need to read either book to understand Saccharine Silence, the short reward for early bird backing.

What is the wait for?
This project’s funding was to help us afford to pay the last large chunk of editing for Lemon Balm. As of July 27th, Lemon Balm is with our editor, and should be back with us by the end of the September 5th at the absolute latest. Artemis will then implement the changes and format the book, getting it ready for publishing. As soon as that is done, it will be uploaded to our publisher and sent to print! With no delays it will be ready by the end of September, and the e-book should be ready by mid-September.
This is an incredibly ambitious turnaround. These things take time to do, and it is possible that something will take longer than anticipated. If that happens, we will be posting updates throughout the process to make sure we’re as transparent as possible and that you know where your rewards are!

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
Please keep in mind that, because these funds are being used to secure items for fulfillment, no refunds will be issued.
